Able Retainer · $799/mo

Eight hours a month of senior production time. Use the hours. I am the person on the box, not an account manager forwarding Slack.

A retainer should be hours you actually use

Most retainers turn into a pile of tickets nobody wanted to own. Able Retainer is eight hours a month of me: platform, apps, network, billing, automation, migrations, incidents, “make this not suck.” $799. US hours. Houston.

If you only call when it is on fire, you will keep paying fire prices. Rescue is the one-incident SKU. The retainer is for the work you already know is coming this month.

Hours are for

  • Production Linux, Windows, AWS, Kubernetes
  • Mail, VoIP, web and app stacks
  • Migrations, hardening, “this deploy keeps breaking”
  • Billing/ops automation that is leaking time or money
  • Incidents that happen while you are on the retainer — they come out of the same eight hours

Hours are not for

  • An account manager and a junior bench
  • Unlimited tickets until the month expires
  • A full-time hire or a 40-hour week
  • A product rewrite you have not scoped
  • Watch-only monitoring — that is Able Watch

What happens after you pay

  1. Pay the Stripe link. The retainer is $799 per month until you cancel.
  2. Email greg@ableadmins.com with access (SSH, VPN, cloud, git) and the first thing you want done this month.
  3. We use the hours. You will know what they went to. I do not bury work in a portal you will never open.
  4. If a month is going to blow past eight hours, we talk before I keep going. Unused hours are for that month — do not buy this to stockpile time you will not schedule.

How this sits next to Rescue and Watch

Rescue is two hours when something is already down. Watch is $99 so a human sees the down host. The retainer is the block of senior time for everything that is not an emergency SKU: the migration, the mail cutover, the billing leak, the Kubernetes mess you have been postponing.

You can stack them. Plenty of people should. Do not buy the retainer if you really just need one incident handled this week.

Cancel on Stripe whenever you want. The month you paid for is the month I work. Questions: contact.
